In the heart of Antigua, a beacon of hope shines for the forgotten. Dogs & Cats of Antigua, a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been the guardian angel for animals in distress since 2015. From the smallest kitten to our oldest veteran dogs, our arms and hearts are open.

What Makes Us Care About Pets?

If it wasn’t for our founder’s childhood spent on a ranch in northern Texas, surrounded by domestic animals and pets all the time till she went to college – there might have been no Anilove animal shelter now. So as soon as she graduated with her Veterinary degree 12 years ago, she already knew what she will be doing for a living.

We rescued Oonagh (previously Lucy) from one of your partner rescues in New York. We got her at the end of January 2019 when she was a puppy. She had a lot of separation anxiety when we brought her home, but we spent a lot of time and patience working with her and she is now a happy, well adjusted, and well loved member of our family in Connecticut. We just adore her.
